Paolo has landed a cameo role playing John Lennon in a controversial Channel 4 drama about the life of Princess Margaret. The drama, set for broadcast at 9pm on Sunday November 27th, shows scenes with the Princess ‘tripping’ at a party thrown by the Beatles.

Channel 4 are screening a Morenas musical showcase late this Friday (25/2) night at 2am as part of their 4Music season. Next week sees the final legs of the UK tour with live shows in Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.

The Morenas will be representing Xfm’s Lauren Laverne at this years Cannonball 8000 rally in September. They will be entering the rally in their 1979 New York Police car and after arriving in Monte Carlo will headline the after party. More details to follow.

The Morenas kick off their UK tour on 21st February at Reading University. Other cities being visited over the fortnight include Bristol, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester. This weekends gig at the Number 10 Bar has been cancelled due to the injury sustained by Bassist Tim over the weekend in which he badly sprained his wrist . All at Bleach Records wish him a rapid recovery.

The Morenas debut single will be in record shops across the UK with the help of Vital distribution. The release date for Heart&Soul/Social Abuse has been delayed 7-days until Monday 31st May to allow time to get the CD and Vinyl in stores.
OPENING FESTIVAL

The Morenas will be opening the second stage at this years Guildford Festival on Friday 16th July. Other big name acts joining them on the Uncut Stage include the Beta Band and The Levellers. A limited number of discounted day tickets for the festival are now available from the webshop.
PRODUCER FOUND

After an electric headline set at the Barfly last weekend The Morenas will be spending the next few days in the studio and they are teaming up with a producer, whose worked with some big names, to work on some tracks. “We’re hoping to rework some tracks with our producer before showcasing them live and recording them in the studio” the band commented. The next live show is at The Borderline, London on Saturday 24th January.
BACK IN THE STUDIO

The Morenas have been back in the studio recording for the first time since the sessions in the early summer. The current sessions have allowed the band to explore some new material and re-work some old material. “We are experimenting with songs and having fun whilst getting used to the studio environment again” the band said.
